Professor Christiana Weber holds the chair for Management and Organisation at the Leibniz University Hanover, in Germany. She has a multi-faceted background: Business Communications and Management Science in Berlin, Germany (MSc), in Grenoble, France as well as at Berkeley, USA. She obtained her PhD in Sociology from the Social Science Research Centre, Berlin (WZB) and her Habilitation in Management Sciences. Professor Weber’s major research interest lies in studying all kinds of interorganizational relations such as cross-sector partnerships and strategic innovation alliances. Further interests include questions around social value creation, social innovation and corporate sustainability management as well as entrepreneurship and innovation in Sub-Saharan Africa from an organisation theory and social network theory perspective.
Christiana Weber has a sound track record in securing third party funding for her research by renowned institutions like the German Research Society (DFG), the World Bank, the Schwab Foundation, the Bertelsmann Foundation, and the OTTO Group. She was a visiting professor at Cambridge University and at Queen Mary University London, and benefits from extensive doctoral supervisory experiences.
Professor Weber is the author of over 40 peer reviewed articles and book chapters. Her research appeared in such journals as AMR, JBV, JMS, ET&P, SEJ and others. The solid foundation for her empirical research is built on more than ten years in various management positions in management consultancy and in the publishing industry
